Bigeños Christmas Season

Image
It is well known to all of us that the COVID 19 pandemic has a negative impact on our social life. The ban on mass gatherings and festivals has influenced the way we celebrate festivals, including Christmas. Personally, Christmas is my favorite holiday because it's time to spend and give time with your loved ones. Before the pandemic, we celebrated them by hosting programs at school and at work, attending “Misa de Gallo” or “Simbang Gabi”, celebrating Noche buena, and leaving the town. In the light of the pandemic, we need to find other ways to experience the spirit of Christmas. Christmas is a religious occasion honoring the birth of Jesus Christ on December 25. Bigueños and the entirety of Catholic Filipinos have something called "Simbang Gabi" or "Misa de Gallo". People attend mass as early as 3:00 AM to 5:00 AM every day from December 9 to 24. Aside from being religious, Bigueños love music. They blast local and foreign Christmas songs on their speakers,

Viva Vigan ! Viva San Pablo !

T he Vigan City Fiesta is celebrated annually on January 25th and is held in honor of the Apostle of St. Paul, the patron saint of the city. Fiesta is part of our culture as Filipinos we celebrate together. There were many activities and competitions such as street dance, parades, carnivals, food fairs, locals and tourists gathered to celebrate this event. I used to have a free party with no rules or rest rictions. But when the COVID 19 pandemic begins, celebrating these events is really difficult, as there are many consequences of celebrating and interacting with many people      When the pandemic commenced withinside the early 2020, it affected many factors of our subculture like our birthday party of Fiesta`s in our town/metropolis and for us Ilocano`s, Vigan City Fiesta has been with us for years and it become devastating to now no longer be capable of have fun it like we used to whilst the pandemic came. We celebrated this remaining yr through on-line however that didn`t se

3rd Quarter Begins

Image
The end of this quarter is nearly coming, and it still feels unreal that two quarters of this school year have already finished. Time really does fly so fast. The past eight weeks of this quarter have been truly tough for me, and it’s a relief that it is already about to end. This quarter has taught me a lot of things, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to expand my knowledge and stretch my understanding. I will make sure that the learnings I’ve gained here will be put into good use since not everybody has the chance to study and enhance their skills and understandings. In the process, I experienced a small task that got stuck a little. These issues include tags not working, glitches, and in some cases problems in understanding the steps. Fortunately, these issues were easily resolved via the internet or by trial and error. Asking the teacher for help was also a way to get a clearer understanding of the instructions. Don't be afraid to ask questions. It's

A New Beginning in New Year

Image
The new year begins with great success. Fireworks are set off in the sky, children jump as high as possible, and some children pray for a peaceful and happy beginning. New Year is a time to celebrate with enthusiasm and enthusiasm. This day is a celebration where the entire community spreads joy everywhere and shares their sense of happiness and excitement. We look forward to this special day, big or small. We dance, launch fireworks, make the loudest trumpet sounds, say goodbye at the end of the year, and enjoy together as we welcome a new and potential New Year. 2021 is over in no time. We welcome new possibilities and opportunities here. Last year was a very tough year for me and everyone. The COVID 19 pandemic has created many challenges, but it has also provided valuable lessons that can be applied in the future. Time is really gone and we need to celebrate the New Year with smiles and joy. And forget all the pain, regrets, worries we have had over the past year. I had a lot of
